Red Ribbon Week!

Next week (October 24th to the 28th) is Red Ribbon Week (just say NO to drugs and alcohol).  We will be having “Spirit Week” here at Legacy with a door decorating contest. The doors will be judged by Student Council members and there will be one winner for K-2nd and one for 3rd-5th. The winners will receive a pizza party for their class.  The Spirit days for next week are as follows:

Monday-  WEAR RED DAY

Tuesday- WEAR YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS JERSEY DAY (to team up against drugs!)

Wednesday- WEAR JEANS DAY (be a jean-ius and just say no to drugs!)

Thursday- WEAR YOUR CLOTHES BACKWARD DAY (to turn your back on drugs!)

Friday- WEAR A SUPER HERO SHIRT OR WEAR BLACK DAY (to be hero and to black out drugs!)

Counseling update for November

In the month of November I will finish my first round of groups and will be starting my second round the week of January 17th. I will also go into classrooms to do lessons on “Going for your goals”.  The Legacy Luncheon for “Going for your goals” will be held on Wednesday, December 7th.  We will not have a Legacy trait in December because of winter break so I will do classroom lessons on bullying.

Student Council is collecting cans for the canned food drive which ends December 13th. The class that has the most cans wins a pizza party!  We will also have a mitten tree (to collect mittens, hats and scarves for the needy). Student Council will start collecting for the tree starting November 28th and ending December 13th .

A big thanks to all the parents who have volunteered for the school store. I am very grateful!

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving break!
